The New York Times Bestseller, The Shack

Admittedly, I am not a big reader of fictional novels, Christian or otherwise. However, I would have to be living under a rock not to hear about the latest hit novel, The Shack by William P. Young. It has been suggested, by pastor and author Eugene Peterson, that The Shack, "has the potential to do for our generation what John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress did for his." However, others suggest that it does not parallel with sound biblical doctrine.

Theologian and philosopher, Dr. Norman Geisler, who's work I have benefit much from in the past, offers his treatment of the novel in his article, The Shack: Helpful or Heretical?.

Courage and Godspeed,
Chad A. Gross
