Flash Video: Is the Old Testament Reliable and Where Did It Come From?

Hello to everyone and I hope all is well! This week's flash video from the Apologetics Bible Study Curriculum is entitled, "Is the Old Testament Reliable and Where Did It Come From?"

This video covers numerous topics including, but not limited to:

  • The relationship between Jesus and the Old Testament (OT)
  • The books of the OT
  • Was the OT copied accurately?
  • The relationship between the OT and the Dea Sea Scrolls
  • The Apocrypha
  • Archaeological finds that confirm Old Testament events and people
I encourage our readers and team members to check out this video. Skeptics who may be asking about the reliability of the Old Testament and why certain books were included in the Old Testament while others were left out, will enjoy this video as well.

Enjoy!

Courage and Godspeed,
Chad A. Gross

I enjoyed this informative video in regards to the Old Testament's reliability. Two things that especially found interesting:

-The accuracy of documents that were in some cases a thousand years apart. The video helped me to understand the ritualistic specifics that scribes had to go through were recording this information. Definitely helps to strengthen the validity of the Old Testament.

-The Dead Sea Scrolls: I always knew they were discovered in the 1940s somewhere in the Middle East but how they were discovered and the vital pieceses of historical writings that were made available to us is amazing!

I definitely have a different outlook on the OT today.

Thanks Chad!

Hello there Chad V. aka "The Other:"

Hope things are well with you. I'm glad that you enjoyed the flash vid. I would have liked to have seen it go a little more in-depth in a few areas, but I think it was a good introduction to some of the evidence that exists for the Old Testament.

More evidence for the OT coming tomorrow!

Have a great one bro!

Godspeed
