It is wonderful to find brethren of like mind. We have said "Happy Resurrection Day" for years but rarely hear anyone else say or write it. We questioned the practices of each holiday when we dedicated our lives to following Jesus over 15 years ago and we have committed ourselves to tell others of God's disapproval of participating in what amounts to pagan rituals. I wrote a blog and posted it concerning Easter but the blog applies to Halloween and Christmas as well:

We observe the birth of Christ and His resurrection but without the distractions of the idols. We exchange gifts as part of a New Year celebration when we bring in the New Year instead of at Christ Birth. One can carry on "traditions" without compromising with the world!
