Alexander Vilenkin on a Cosmic Beginning

Just pages later in that same book, though, he argues that the best candidate for that "cosmic beginning" is quantum tunneling and subsequent inflation. It's certainly not a case for theism, and it is not particularly honest to pluck that quote out of the book and imply that Vilenkin argues for a deity.
