Even an affluent ancient wouldn’t have had such a working knowledge of the ancient world without having done the traveling himself or consulting those who have. <br /><br />The author was either an actual traveling companion of Paul, or he was a traveler of some sort during the same period of time as Paul’s reputed missionary activities.
