Welcome! Truthbomb Apologetics strives to offer apologetics resources to encourage and challenge both believer and unbeliever.
I viewed this video, and the video spoke of the attributes of God and compared attributes present in different religions. The attributes of God are something that we are very interested in studying in depth. Do you know of any on-line resources, books, or studies that would be useful to aid in further studying the attributes of God and the nature of God? I believe that it would be much easier to detect false doctrine or other deceptions if we have a good handle on God's character and attributes. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the great resources that you have on the Truthbomb blog! Lavinia
Lavina4truth,Hello; a pastor once mentioned to me that a book by the late Bill Bright entitled "God" was a great place to start studying the character of God.You may want to checkout that book. If I think of any others, I'll share them, but this should help get you started!Godspeed
Thank you so much for the information. I will look into it! Thanks again for all of the resources available at the Truthbomb site!Lavinia
Lavinia4truth,No problem; I'm thankful that you are finding them helpful.Happy New Year!
Chad,I just wanted to let you know that I was able to find Dr. Bill Bright's book, God:Discover His Character, in our church library and have checked it out. When I started to read it, I noticed a direct quote from A.W. Tozier's book entitled The Knowledge of the Holy. I recalled that I had just purchased a book by A.W. Tozier recently. When I went to the bookshelf, I found that indeed it was the book of that title! The subtitle for the book is The Attributes of God:Their Meaning in the Christian Life. We are really looking forward to digging into both of these books! Thank you so much for the informatiion!Lavinia
Lavinia,This is great news! I know that my current pastor loves Tozer's stuff! I have his "In Pursuit of God" book, but have yet to read it.Please let me know how your groups study goes!Godspeed
