We observe the birth of Christ and His resurrection but without the distractions of the idols. We exchange gifts as part of a New Year celebration when we bring in the New Year instead of at Christ Birth. One can carry on "traditions" without compromising with the world!
PS., I'm also on Facebook as Jesus Follower if you want to request to be friends through Facebook.
