Debate Video: Did Jesus Rise from the Dead? - John Loftus vs. David Wood

As I have shared before, Christianity is unique among religions because it offers a historic truth test. It was the Apostle Paul that wrote, "And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain" (1 Cor. 15:14).  Here, Paul stacks the truth of Christianity on a historical event- the resurrection of Jesus Christ!  This can be investigated by any sincere seeker.

In this debate, John Loftus and David Wood debate the question, "Did Jesus Rise from the Dead?"  I have written about Loftus here and here.

I am stunned that John Loftus would have the nerve or stupidity to show up for this debate. I have NEVER heard such a pathetic presentation.

Is this typical of John's performance in such debates? If so, I do not understand why any Christian would debate him more than once. Yet I think I read that this was David's third debate with him. David is very logical and incisive. He deserves an opponent worthy of his abilities. It does not advance the cause of Christ sufficiently to debate someone who performs as John did because it just gives atheists the excuse that their representative did not present their position well. John did not even seem well that night.
