Evil as Evidence for God's Existence

1. If God does not exist, objective moral values do not exist.

 2. Evil exists.

 3. Therefore, objective moral values exist (some things are evil!).

 4. Therefore, God exists.1

I love this argument and believe it has a deeper meaning than it appears! The trick is to be able to explain WHY objective morality cannot exist without God, and once that is established, this argument is flawless.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The moral argument (or in this case...the "Evil" argument I guess) is the single most powerful argument for the existence of God, when used properly. IT attacks both the mind and the heart simultaneously. It's the H-Bomb of philosophical apologetics.

It looks like your syllogism is invalid. You need an additional premise like "if evil exists then objective moral values exist" or something like that. Or you could make (3) into a premise rather than a conclusion (although if you do that then premise (2) will be superfluous). But as it is, (3) does not follow from (1) and/or (2).
