So I have to ask, did you go with Android or Apple? Inquiring minds want to know :)
How are you brother? I went with the Android! I just wanted to be able to say that I have my own "droid!"
I purchased it for two main reasons: 1) I was going away and "The Wife" was nervous about not being able to contact me. She liked the idea of texting. 2) The apologetics apps! I've been eyeing them for awhile! I really like them all of them. They all have their strengths!
I hope you and your dear family are well and please tell them I said, "Hi!"
Love you brother!
Godspeed
Thank you for suggesting it! I'll have to check it out!

Have a little hope on me! Roger
Essentially, you're making your own "app" with the Google Docs app.
Thank you for taking the time to comment.
1. Hugh Ross believes the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. To suggest otherwise is simply false. It is a question of interpretation, not authority. Both YEC and OEC believe in the authority of Scripture.
2. It is difficult to understand how RTB or Truthbomb are guilty of "spreading evolutionary heresy" when one considers that neither ministry embraces Darwinism.
3. Perhaps you should take J. Warner Wallace's advice and try not to obsess over the Genesis debate.
Godspeed
1. Regarding Ross: please at least make yourself aware of the other side of this debate by reading Dr. Jonathan Sarfati's "Refuting Compromise" which directly confronts the bad theology and bad science being put forth by Hugh Ross.
2. Forgive my misuse of the term. I should have said, "spreading compromise". There is no reason to compromise the simple, clear and straightforward reading of Scripture to accommodate pseudoscience.
3. Definitely not. That's horrible advice, since the Gospel finds its basis and foundation in Genesis! Why do we need to be saved? Because of original sin. Where did original sin come from? The literal sin of two literal people in a literal garden. If there was no literal Adam and Eve who literally sinned, then why do we literally need to be saved? Compromising Genesis compromises the entirety of Scripture. This is especially true when you realize that Jesus Himself believed Genesis to be literal history! He said God created mankind male and female "from the beginning" (not after billions of years of gradual change).
Again, I implore you to make yourself aware of the importance of Genesis at creation.com.
Godspeed.
Thank you for the reply.
1. It is surprisingly presumptuous of you to assume that I am not aware of Safarti's work. We have featured him on the blog and I own some of his work.
2. No one in compromising. It is a matter of interpretation, not authority.
3. Having just finished an article on what Jesus believed about the OT for an forthcoming publication, I am well aware what Jesus taught about the OT and Genesis.
Further, Hugh Ross and his ministry are very public about what the believe and anyone can read it here here.
Again, to suggest that Ross doesn't believe in a literal Adam and Eve and original sin is misguided at best.
As I have said, I am well aware of creation.com and the work of Safarti. I do believe they are the best YEC ministry out there.
Godspeed
Thanks for the ongoing dialogue.
1. The issue is not whether you have ever heard of Dr. Sarfati or even whether you own some of his work. The issue is whether you are grappling with the best arguments *against* Hugh Ross and his faulty science and theology by reading Refuting Compromise. None of Sarfati's other work (except his new commentary on Genesis, The Genesis Account) deals in detail with that topic.
2. The facts blatantly show otherwise. You'll find that pretty much no one was an "Old Earth Creationist" prior to the 18th and 19th centuries when millions of years came into vogue in the scientific community. There is no hint of millions of years anywhere in Scripture-- in fact, you can draw a direct line from Adam to Jesus Christ (check Luke's genealogy), and there's no room for any millions of years there. Jesus said God created Adam "from the beginning", so once again there's no loophole there either. Ask yourself: if God HAD wanted to clearly communicate that the earth is "young" (thousands, not billions) and that God created in 6 literal days, how, pray tell, might God have been any more clear than He was in Genesis? Conversely, there would have been many ways for God to avoid misleading us by clearly communicating that His creation took millions of years to elapse. God was not unclear.
3. If that's the case, then you'll be aware that Jesus clearly believed and taught the OT as history, and as such Jesus was a "young earth creationist", or, more accurately, a biblical creationist.
Hugh Ross believes in millions of years of death and suffering prior to sin, which means that Ross contradicts the clear teaching of scripture that death and suffering are a *punishment* for sin as part of the Curse. God does care about animal death and suffering, and as a loving God He would not have chosen a cruel and ruthless process to create his "very good" creation prior to Adam and Eve's arrival.
Return to the truth of Scripture! You're not defending Scripture when you mix it with secular pseudoscience. Check out CMI's many articles showing the scriptural AND scientific evidence that the earth is thousands, not billions of years old.
Blessings!
