Although this piece from Doug Groothuis is somewhat dated, I believe it's time for a refresher.

We ignore him at our peril.

Dr. Groothuis's work is fantastic. I'd add his "Jesus In an Age of Controversy" to the must-read list. It's really well written and tackles every alternative "Jesus" theory out there in a clear, concise and powerful way.
