Video - Hellgate: The Christian Debate We're Afraid to Have Hosted by Kick Cameron

As many of you know, back in December, popular actor, author, and Christian influencer Kirk Cameron stirred considerable controversy when he publicly announced that he no longer holds to the view of eternal conscious torment and is instead leaning toward a position known as conditional immortality.  To learn more about the controversy, see here.

In this discussion that followed, Cameron hosted two scholars representing the conditional immortality perspective (Chris Date and Dan Paterson) and two scholars who affirm eternal conscious torment (Paul Copan and Gavin Ortlund). The conversation serves as a refreshing and commendable model for how Christians can thoughtfully and graciously disagree over important, yet secondary, theological matters.
